Iisalmi Children and Youth Visual Arts School provides art education for children aged 4–15. Students are introduced to the basics of visual expression, different forms of art making and art historical themes. The goal is to encourage the student’s own creativity and exploration.  Art studies also provide a basis for the further studies.

The duration of the lessons is 90 min. There are 13 lessons in autumn and 17 in spring based on the group’s own curriculum.

The classroom is located at the Cultural Center, classroom 030 (located downstairs in the basement). No tuition is organized during the autumn and winter holiday weeks.

Tuition fee is 68 €  per semester (autumn and spring semester will be invoiced separately). The youngest sibling gets 50% discount of the tuition fee.

Early childhood education

Children aged 4–6 years study 45 min per week. Tuition fee is 45 € per semester.
